(What is a Ceramic Coating?)
By definition, a ceramic coating is a liquid based detailing product designed to protect your vehicles paint/body work by adhering to a properly prepared surface.
Once your car has one, you will never want to go back.
Why? That’s simple, a car with a ceramic coating is incredibly easy to wash and maintain. Bugs, bird poo and grime slide off with ease saving you time and effort.
A ceramic coating has UV protection, chemical protection and due to their slickness they offer a self cleaning effect...that doesn’t mean you don’t wash it, this just means it looks shiny all the time. (Which is awesome)
Think of a ceramic coating as a glass like shell that forms a hard barrier between your car and the elements.
(Process) The first step to a ceramic coating job is to start with a wash, clay bar, iron decontamination and a quick machine polish at minimum to ensure the paint is as clean as possible, then the entire vehicle is wiped down with a form of isopropyl alcohol to further ensure there are no remaining oils that could effect the ceramic coating properly adhering. For cars the ceramic coating is then poured onto a microfiber applicator and hand applied in either one or two layers depending on the ceramic coating.
I will need your vehicle overnight if you choose to go with any ceramic coating beyond 1 year, this is due to the curing time those coatings require before they go outside.
